ReefLogix is operated by ReefLogix (United Kingdom). For any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at support@reeflogix.co.uk.

Account data: your email address and name (as provided during sign-up or Google sign-in).

Tank data: tank names, types, volumes, setup dates, photos, notes, and water-change schedules you create.

Water test data: the parameter readings you log (salinity, temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, phosphate) and the dates you recorded them.

Maintenance logs: the maintenance activities and notes you record.

Livestock records: names, species, types, quantities, purchase dates, sources, photos, and notes for the fish, corals, and invertebrates you track.

Progress photos: photos and notes you upload to track your tank over time.

Subscription data: your ReefLogix Pro subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.

Usage data: basic analytics events (e.g. feature usage) to help us improve the app.

We use your data to provide the ReefLogix service — storing and displaying your tank records, charts, reminders, and history. We also use it to process subscription payments, send service-related emails, and improve the app.

When you choose to run ReefLogix AI Analysis, your tank data (water tests, maintenance logs, and livestock) is sent to an AI language model to generate insights. This only happens when you actively request it.

Contract: we process your account and tank data to deliver the service you signed up for (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

Consent: AI analysis of your tank data only runs when you explicitly request it (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw this consent at any time by not using the feature.

Legitimate interests: we use basic usage analytics to improve the app (Article 6(1)(f)).

We use trusted providers to operate ReefLogix. Each processes data only on our behalf and under contract:

• Base44 — our application platform and database hosting (including MongoDB for data storage).
• Stripe — processes subscription payments. Your card details never touch our servers; see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google Cloud — cloud infrastructure.
• Anthropic / OpenAI — provides the AI language model used for ReefLogix AI Analysis, only when you request it.
• SendGrid — delivers transactional emails (e.g. password resets).

Base44 and its providers may transfer data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards (such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently erase your tanks, water tests, maintenance logs, livestock, progress photos, and subscription records.

We may retain limited data for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes where required by law.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data (you can also do this yourself in the app under Billing → Delete account).
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (available via the Export feature for Pro users).
• Object or restrict — object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent — for AI analysis, simply stop using the feature.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method is 100% secure, but we work with providers certified to SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards.

ReefLogix is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
